BRINGING HOPE HOME
The “Bringing Hope Home” program went on a whirlwind tour to promote its foreclosure prevention program. After stopping at Neighborhood Housing Services of South Florida in Miami-Dade County where former Miami Heat star, Alonzo Mourning and Heat Guard Dwayne Wade talked about the need to raise awareness about foreclosure and its devastating effects on poor families, the tour bus visited various local businesses and the home of a family facing foreclosure before seeking assistance from NHSSF.The tour highlighted local and national resources available to homeowners facing foreclosure. Some of those resources include the Homeowner’s Hope ™ Hotline, (888)995-HOPE. Free help is provided to homeowners 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Homeowners were encouraged to log onto www.MakingHomeAffordable.gov or contacting a HUD-approved housing counseling agency like NHSSF. |
