$$$$ FINANCIAL FITNESS WORKSHOPS $$$$

With the recession, job loss, and the foreclosure crisis continuing to make headlines nationwide and in South Florida, Neighborhood Housing Services of South Florida (NHSSF) will launch Financial Fitness Workshops by offering tips to help consumers strengthen their financial know-how with a few Financial Fitness Training tips. “Financial education provides South Florida consumers with the information and practices they need to take control over their finances and build wealth, regardless of income,” said Arden Shank, Executive Director and President of Neighborhood Housing Services of South Florida, a member of the NeighborWorks network. “With education and determination South Florida families can pay down their debt and build a financial cushion that is a critical safeguard during tough economic times.”

Open to the general public, the workshops will cover how to create a budget, tackle debt, build an emergency fund, and how to avoid scams.

Beginning in English and Spanish on Saturday, June 27...
Foreclosure customers will be required to attend.
Homebuyer education customers will be encouraged to attend the workshops.
